I truly expected more from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially since it is considered one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts. During our stay, several staff members were noticeably unfriendly and often ignored guests instead of greeting or assisting them. It was disappointing to feel such a lack of warmth at a property that is meant to represent the highest level of Disney hospitality.
The quick dining options were very limited, and the food quality did not reflect the premium prices or the Deluxe Resort status. The flatbreads, for example, were poor in taste and presentation. Guests paying this much should receive far better dining experiences.
When I took my daughter to see the animals, the staff members stationed nearby were more focused on their personal conversations about their off-hours than engaging with guests or sharing information about the animals. This could have been a wonderful learning opportunity, especially for children, but it was missed.
I hope management reviews these concerns seriously and ensures that Animal Kingdom Lodge lives up to the Disney Deluxe Resort standard that families expect when choosing to stay here.

Gorgeous hotel. We stayed in a Savannah room but due to a storm that was off the coast of Florida we did not see too many animals but it still was a beautiful view. The hotel was amazing. The staff very friendly. We stayed in a club level room so we were able to go up to the 6th floor to get food at different times of the day and drinks. I wanted a Savannah room and club level was the only available since this was a last minute trip planned. I personally probably would not don club level again just because my son did not like most of the food offered since he is a very picky eater. I do recommend this hotel though because it is amazing and even though we did not see many animals due to the weather I recommend the Savannah rooms.

The place is fantastic. One of if not the Best Disney has to offer. Resturants great. Quick service delicious. Pool and hot tubs so clean and relaxing. Just go you won't regret it. Transportation yo and from flawless. Will definitely be back. Boma was so good.

We recently went on a trip to Disney World with a split stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We loved the Savannah View and pool but the room left more to be desired. None of the charging ports in our room worked. The rooms were dated (but I believe they are getting a refresh in the coming year) and the walk from the lobby to the rooms is very long. Additionally, we rented DVC points and I didn’t realize at DVC resorts, housekeeping only comes once a week. This would not be a place I would want to stay at for more than three nights. However, the theming is beautiful. The staff is knowledgeable about the animals, and the activities around the resort for the kids are great!

An amazing and beautiful resort that is large and quiet (perfect for a relaxing getaway). Looking out our balcony we always saw plenty of animals, which was amazing.
Only complaint is that the rooms could use a little updating, the door on the cabinet, where to our beverage cooler was, was worn and a required lifting up to get to shut all the way. Location is great noise wise, super quiet, but getting to Magic Kingdom takes a lot of time since the only transportation offered is bus service.
