Rooms too basic. No kettle etc. Only a minibar. The shower has difficult temperatur.. varies between burning to freezing in seconds. Not good. Sun beds are comfy. Pool snacks is not varied, and does not look very appetizing. Its just fries, nuggets, overcooked burgers etc. Animation could be better. Most waiters are not that helpful, but there are some fantastic ones who have been there many years. Especially the blond long haired woman during main meals, and a few of the guys. The head chef too. The hotel is ok if you need basic, central location, and do not mind "kind of all inclusive". I prefer to take care of my own food, so cheap all inclusive is just not for me. But been there many times, due to arrangements that have been organized there.

**Certainly Not 5-Star – More 3-Star at Best**
Brits beware: this is advertised as 5* on Loveholidays, but it’s nowhere near five-star standard. I’ve stayed in better three-star hotels.
No tea or coffee in rooms, Wi-Fi only free in a small lobby area, and just two English channels on TV. On arrival, we had three pillows between two people—apparently “standard.” My view? The car park and bins. We were moved after other guests checked out, but still had the same pillow issue. Thin walls meant hearing neighbours snore two rooms away, and later, another guest knocked because we were “too loud” playing UNO!
Hot water was hit-and-miss. Sometimes freezing, sometimes scalding. On checkout day, there was none at all. Reception’s solution? “Use the spa” — not ideal when you’ve packed and are checking out.
Only one room key per booking, regardless of guests. Mini bar? Just water. No iron available for a quick press, only a laundry service with a 3-hour turnaround.
Buffet food was poor — bland, repetitive, and lukewarm. Think endless olives, cheese, and mystery meatballs. No glasses on tables, no drinks waiter, and requests for fresh hot fries from the guy behind the hot counter was refused. The promised à la carte meal that was included in our stay was unavailable because the restaurant was “closed for the season.” I instantly got stomach cramps every time I ate there. We ended up eating out — not exactly budgeted for.
To their credit, the excursions (especially the Turkish Maldives) were excellent, but you can’t get a beach towel before 9 a.m. if your trip starts early. Staff simply shrug when asked for solutions.
The hotel’s “beach” was another disappointment — reached via a dirt track, surrounded by rusty caravans, worn fake grass and cheap plastic chairs and one table . And the “Viking” sister beaches? Off limits us.
The lobby proudly displays a “TripAdvisor Winner 2012” plaque — which feels like the last time this place saw any real investment. Staff seem tired and disheartened, and it’s easy to see why.
In short: tired hotel, poor amenities, uninspired food, and misleading marketing. This is not five-star luxury — more like a struggling three-star. Management needs to stop overselling it. We won’t be booking Viking again.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation! Everything was great! We stayed 7 nights in September 2025 and our expectations were exceeded: the room had a great view over the mountains spreading in front of us (the iconic view of kemer you see from everywhere was in front of us everyday), the cleanliness of the room, the food was tasty-varied-slow cooked and for every taste/preference, the pool area was beautiful, every night the animation schedule was fun and the animation team did their best to entertain us and the kids and keep us in a very good mood, all the personnel was kind and helpful. YOU MADE OUR VACATION MEMORABLE! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! Respectfully yours, Andreea, mom and dad from Romania

Had a lovely stay at the Viking star hotel was worried after reading some reviews but honestly couldn’t fault it! Room was clean great views of the mountains food was okay I’m very fussy but never went hungry always something to eat. Staff are lovely and couldn’t do more for you. Great location with Kemer town centre on the door step. Would definitely come back. Thankyou for a great stay

We had a pleasant stay overall. The food was excellent, with both great taste and a wide variety of options available at each meal. The hotel's central location was a big plus. it was easy to enjoy the beach or explore Kemer town center on foot in the evenings.
The room's air conditioning system was one of the best l've experienced, very efficient and reliable. Most of the staff were clearly experienced and attentive, doing their best to make guests feel comfortable. Special thanks to Ms.
Hanim for her outstanding service.
However, the animation team could have been more active during the day.
Also, we noticed some issues regarding guest behavior at the buffet, such as excessive food waste and stockpiling of packaged items, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, these are not directly hotel’s fault but rather a matter of guest etiquette.
