⭐ Review of Vikingen Infinity Resort – A disappointing experience
We have travelled to Turkey many times and have generally been very satisfied, but unfortunately, this trip did not live up to our expectations.
The room
We were four people but were placed in a very small room, barely suitable for three. It was not prepared for four guests – only two glasses, two cups, and two towels. After complaining at reception, we were given a folding bed, but the space remained very cramped, and our suitcases had to stay on the floor. The sea view was beautiful, but looking to the sides revealed a dump site and a busy road, making it impossible to enjoy the balcony – which only had two chairs emphasizing that this room was NOT meant for 3 yet alone 4 people.
Cleanliness and noise
Cleaning was far below standard. On arrival, there was an unused tampon on the floor – and even after I mentioned it, it remained there on day ten. We could hear loud banging noises from the elevator all night, and the cleaning staff were noisy early in the morning. There were no “Do Not Disturb” signs, and staff would knock and enter the room even when we clearly said no. One particularly uncomfortable incident was when a cleaner leaned her head onto our balcony from the neighbouring room while our daughter was sitting there early in the morning – completely unacceptable.
Surroundings and service
The hotel grounds appear attractive at first, but the traffic noise is constant even by the pools. The overall service level was low, and trash, cups, and used diapers were scattered around the pool area. There were too few bins, and the staff seemed indifferent. Bartenders were slow and unfriendly, while a few Indonesian employees were very kind and helpful – sadly, we witnessed them being treated poorly by their Turkish colleagues, which was uncomfortable to watch.
Food and experiences
The food selection was large but bland and tasteless, and we ended up eating out several times. In the hotel shop, we had a very unpleasant experience. A woman with short red hair shouted at our children (8 and 11 years old) simply because they asked about prices – which were not displayed anywhere. When I approached her to ask about the situation, she shouted at me as well. It was extremely unprofessional, and we chose to shop elsewhere.
Entertainment
Our children enjoyed the mini disco, but the rest of the shows were repetitive, with the same dances performed in different costumes.
Overall Impression
The only positives were the nice sea view, the many pools, and the time we enjoyed as a family. Otherwise, the hotel was a major disappointment. We cannot recommend Vikingen Infinity Resort, and we will never return. It does not deserve its five-star rating, I would rate it 2 at highest.

The staff are so good!! Very professional and kind. The pools are so big and warm. There is a lot of tasty food and food choices. The rooms are very big and comfy, with a very good view of sea and pools. Also there is a lot of shops on the hotel territory, with very good prices and quality. The hotel are so clean and big, and the lifts are so fast. Also the hotel is well decorated and have a lot of plants. I will definitely come here again!!!

I stayed at Vikingen Infinity Resort & Spa with my family for a week in October, and I must say it was one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve ever had. The resort is beautiful, well-organized, and conveniently divided by a road bridge into two areas: the main resort and the beach zone with water parks. During this season, the pool water wasn’t heated, so it felt quite cold at first, but after a few minutes of swimming, it became pleasantly refreshing. The sea water, on the other hand, was warm and easily accessible, making it a perfect alternative. There were plenty of loungers available around the pools and on the beach. The only crowded spot was the pier shaped like a trident, you had to get there early to secure a lounger. However, with six pools across the resort, there were always plenty of other options. Near the beach, there are two water park areas: one for younger children and another with high, thrilling slides for adventure seekers, which my kids absolutely loved.
The food selection was truly exceptional. There was a huge variety, from seafood, salads, and vegetables to different kinds of meat dishes and even diet-friendly options for those watching calories. The freshly baked bread each day was fantastic, and none of us (five people) experienced any stomach issues or complaints.
The staff were stylish, attentive, and professional. I especially want to mention Vakkas, our waiter, for his outstanding service - always smiling, attentive, and making sure we had everything we needed, including our drinks. His positive attitude made dining a real pleasure. The cleaning staff also did a wonderful job keeping the rooms spotless. They even created lovely towel figures - hearts and swans - which showed real care and skill in their work.
The spa was absolutely wonderful, particularly the Balinese therapists. I had a deep tissue lymphatic massage, and it was incredible - one of the best I’ve ever had. However, there was one drawback: the spa owner tends to be quite pushy about booking treatments. He insists on selling multiple offers immediately, which can feel uncomfortable. It would be much nicer to have some time to think and decide freely without pressure. Still, the massage itself was truly worth it.
I also recommend paying extra for a room with a rear view overlooking the pools or beach. The back side of the hotel doesn’t offer much of a view, whereas we woke up every morning to beautiful scenery. The sunsets were mesmerising, which was an absolute blessing.
In terms of entertainment, I’d say it was average. I can’t comment on the children’s shows since my kids are teenagers, but the adult entertainment wasn’t particularly impressive - short and not of the highest standard. That said, the theatre area with tiered seating was great, and the live music and disco nights were enjoyable. Hotel app with daily information is a great bonus!
The all-inclusive deal covered everything we needed, including alcoholic drinks. Except the internet - you won’t have access immediately upon arrival, as there’s about a 3-hour buffer time before check-in updates in the system. The cost is around €10 per person for 7 days. It really should be included with the all-inclusive package, but on the positive side, the connection worked well throughout the entire hotel area, even down by the beach. The shops located below the hotel were reasonably priced- much better than what we’ve seen in Alanya - so it’s worth checking them out before heading to town and risking tourist scams.
In summary, Vikingen Infinity Resort & Spa is a lovely hotel with beautiful food, great facilities, and friendly staff. Clean and finished to the very hight standards. It’s perfect for a relaxing family getaway and offers great value for money. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return!
Thank you for a pleasant and relaxing stay!

The staff at this hotel were extremely rude. They refused to serve things and would argue or complain if you asked for something simple like more ice or another drink. They sat around talking in Turkish and almost making fun of you or talking behind your back, could not speak English, and overall showed no hospitality at all. Because of the staff, I would never recommend anyone to come to this hotel.
On top of that, clothes went missing from the room. I am not saying it was stolen, but it is very disappointing that clothes disappear, even if it was by mistake. The food was not very good, but it was still possible to eat.
Out of several staff members, I only met two who gave me a truly nice and warm welcome. All the others had no sense of service or guest-friendliness whatsoever. Honestly, this hotel is nothing compared to White City, where I stayed two years ago. I should never have chosen this one.
Overall, the staff were far too rude, the service was on a very low level, and the price is much too high for what you actually get. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

The Hotel is beatiful, lots of pools, Staff are very friendly, but the food is repetetive also very little meat and desserts for such a big hotel. The Ala Carte Restaurant which is inclusive one time in your stay the food tasted just like from the buffet we were expecting something different or a little change of flavours, there should be more activities during the day not just pools because when the weather is not sunny you dont really have anything to do, we love the design of the hotels the staff the big pools but the food was a let down for us
Our Rating would be 7,8/10 overall
Also would recommend going by bus instead of taxis costs 2€ per Person and you can get to Alanya Center, with a Taxi we paid 15€ for a 3km 5 minute drive and there was a fixed price no bargaining
