We had a couples hammam experience at Riad Al Ksar & Spa, and as it was the first time for both of us, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. It turned out to be a really lovely and relaxing experience.
The riad itself is beautiful once you find it, with stunning décor and a very authentic feel. I can understand how some people might find it slightly tricky to locate in the Medina, but the location on Google Maps is accurate, and we found it without any issues.
We booked via WhatsApp about three days in advance, and when we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to a changing room with lockers. We were given robes and slippers, and then taken through to the private hammam area. My partner wore swim trunks and I wore bikini bottoms, which worked perfectly.
Our therapist, Fatima, was fantastic. She guided us gently through each step of the hammam, explaining where to sit or stand and making sure we both felt completely comfortable and at ease. The scrub was thorough but not harsh at all — I was particularly worried about it being too rough on my chest as I have very sensitive skin, but it was absolutely fine and surprisingly relaxing.
After the hammam we had a massage and requested medium pressure, which was spot on.
To finish, we were served delicious peppermint tea on the beautiful rooftop terrace, which was the perfect way to end the experience.
I would definitely recommend this to first-time couples looking to try a traditional Moroccan hammam in a calm, authentic setting. A really special experience during our stay in Marrakech

We visited this spa expecting a simple but pleasant experience. I didn’t have very high expectations for the hammam, but unfortunately the massage itself was quite disappointing.
The treatment felt inconsistent — what was done on the left side of the body was not matched on the right side. Most of the time, the therapist’s hands were simply sliding over the skin without real technique or pressure. We specifically requested medium pressure, but there was barely any — not even enough to feel properly relaxing.
Hygiene and comfort also need improvement. The bathrobe had a noticeable smell and felt damp, and the slippers were oily, which made the experience less comfortable.
Overall, the service did not match the price. Honestly, for half the cost you can receive much better quality massage even in much more expensive countries. I hope the spa improves consistency, pressure technique, and basic cleanliness standards.
Only pleasant part was stuff, all of them were kind and approached with respect but just this shouldn't cost 100

My husband and I had the hammam and massage package, it was absolutely brilliant value for money and the experience was unlike anything else. Fatima made us feel very comfortable with how confident and friendly she was, despite the fact that we don’t speak the same language. Houda and Mustafa the massage therapists were equally brilliant. They were so professional but still friendly and really knew what they were doing.
We both left feeling unbelievably relaxed and refreshed. Also whatever hair products they used were amazing - we both have curly hair and my husband was getting compliments on his hair for the rest of the day!

Unfortunately the hammam and massage experience didn’t meet my expectations. During the hammam, a lot of time was spent waiting and the black soap wasn’t applied properly. The shampoo also felt rushed with almost no lather.
I booked a 45-minute massage, but around 10 minutes were preparation, leaving only about 20–25 minutes of actual massage. Head massage wasn’t included. The leg massage was the only part that felt good. It was also disappointing to see the therapist using their phone during the massage.
Overall, the experience felt rushed and unprofessional.

The location of this SPA is extremely strange as it seems to be the most run down area in the vacinity of Media, but don't be deceived. The interior, as well as the staff, is very pleasant and you certainly get what you pay for. It was a very relaxing experience and I would recommend the couples package to everyone. Also I'd like to add that I love the spa's response to Fatima's one star review. If you get the time reread it. It's great entertainment!
