The hotel complex is beautifully designed and well maintained, offering great sea views from every room. Free parking is a nice bonus, and the dive center directly at the resort is excellent. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
However, there are quite a few areas that could be improved. Breakfast lacked variety and selection, and the lady at the omelette station was soooo unfriendly (and the omelette didn’t taste good). The indoor pool is supposed to be an “18+ silent area,” but no one seems to monitor that — it was noisy, kids were jumping in from the pool edge, and there was no sense of relaxation at all.
I also had to go to the reception three times to get an extra blanket. Our apartment was spacious, but one of the two rooms was completely empty with no furniture at all. The outdoor pools were very cold, and the pool bar drinks were quite average. On top of that, there were never any towels available at the pool — I asked four times in one day and never received any.
Additionally, there was construction noise during our stay because the hotel is currently being expanded.
Overall, it’s a solid resort with a beautiful location and potential — but at the moment, there’s a clear need for better organization, service consistency, and attention to detail. We wouldn’t come back.

Ramla Bay is in a stunning location with sunsets and sunrises right outside your window. We completely forgot to write a review in August and only remembered now lol! We stayed during the 20th to the 28th it’s so beautiful. The buffet in the morning does lack a little bit but at the end of the day it’s like any other hotel. The staff are really friendly and nice. We stayed on the 5 or 6th floor can’t really remember but they were the new renovated ones and they were stunning! The pools were lovely too and the private beach is easily accessible! There is one downside at there is no night entertainment but we kept ourselves occupied! Always clean and the atmosphere was lovely. I will be coming back in a few years to see the renovations finished. PSA. We heard no construction noises during our stay! The only downside is that it’s very far from the main attractions but you can just catch a bus that will take around half an hour and take you around town ! 🫶🏾

In general, I liked my stay.
Very clean and spacious room, I felt very comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff, always had the feeling that they have everything under control.
Nice restaurants with decent pricing.
Breakfast area was heavily crowded, there should be an additional option for coffee as this has always been the longest cue. Other guests were quite rude at the buffet, that's unfortunate.
Hotel is currently still under construction, looking forward to how it'll be when it is done.
Only negative aspect is that there are no real signs about how to get to the next bus stop and that it is heavily based on going by car. Area is not really hiking friendly. That could be improved by e.g. trails along the shoreline.
To sum up, it was a good stay

I stayed at Ramla Bay Resort in Malta for a solo holiday, and overall, my time there was pleasant, peaceful, and quite relaxing. The resort itself is in a lovely, quiet part of the island, surrounded by calm waters and beautiful sea views. It’s definitely the kind of place you go to if you’re looking to unwind, take in nature, and enjoy some downtime away from the crowds.
When I first arrived, I was impressed by how clean and spacious the lobby was. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff at reception were welcoming and polite. They gave me a quick overview of the facilities and directed me to my room. I had booked one of the standard rooms, and to my surprise, it exceeded my expectations. The room was modern, spotless, and well equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The balcony view was lovely I could see the sea and enjoy the sunset each evening, which made it perfect for a quiet solo trip.
The resort itself is quite large, with different areas for dining, swimming, and activities. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because the booking mentioned that multiple pool areas were open. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I found that several of those pools were actually closed, and there was no prior notice or information about this either on the website or in the booking details. This was quite disappointing, as I had been looking forward to spending time exploring the different pool areas. It made me feel slightly misled or scammed, especially considering that the resort markets itself as offering a wide range of open facilities.
That said, the parts of the resort that were open were well maintained. The main pool area was clean, with enough space to relax, and there were plenty of sunbeds available. The beach area nearby was lovely too clear water, beautiful scenery, and ideal for swimming or kayaking.
The resort’s location is both a strength and a weakness. It’s peaceful and right by the sea, which is perfect if you want a quiet holiday. However, it’s quite far from most of the main attractions and the bus journeys can be long, so it’s not ideal if you want to explore Malta easily. I’d definitely recommend hiring a car if you’re staying here, especially if you plan to travel around the island.
Overall, I’d describe my stay as relaxing but slightly underwhelming due to the lack of accurate information online. The room, cleanliness, and natural surroundings were excellent, and the staff were pleasant whenever I spoke to them. Still, transparency is important, and I hope the hotel updates their website or booking platforms in the future to avoid disappointing guests.
If you’re looking for a quiet seaside escape with beautiful views and don’t mind being away from the main towns, Ramla Bay Resort is a great option just make sure to confirm which facilities are open before you go.

Our 2-week stay was very pleasant (last week of Sept, first week of Oct). Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. There is an atmosphere of space and calm everywhere, even to the choice of ambient music in the halls. The common areas are kept very clean at all times. We only used the main restaurant for breakfast which was a bit more crowded but very well supervised by a well trained staff. We had most of our dinners at the Pietra Nera italian restaurant which offered some interesting dishes albeit too large portions for us, so we shared most of the times. The Brigantine bar is very pleasant, all standard cocktails with an open view. The swimming pool bar is helpful too. The staff was professional and nice. The sandy beach boasts about 50 free loungers and only half of them at the most were occupied. We also tried the rocky beach which is actually quite practical. Beach towels are easily provided. We appreciated the fact that all the nautical activities like jet-skis and other touristic boats are kept as quiet as possible until they are out of the harbour, thus lowering their noise level. We did not try the pools which looked beautiful and having one for adult-only seems like a good idea. There are a lot of thoughts put behind this hotel and their main purpose seems to be the relaxation, the comfort and the respect of the guests which we appreciated greatly. They are still finalising the building works of the overall complex but even that was kept to the minimum inconvenience possible.
