Just returned from a week here and was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews but i didn't need to be! Our first time in Tenerife and therefore obviously this hotel. Loved it and would happily come back! The room was great, hotel staff very friendly and although we don't have kids we enjoyed watching the animation team entertaining them (and the adults) - the opening song will be stuck in our heads for days! :-) Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the quality of food but the drinks from the pool bar were a reasonable price. Location wise it is at the top of a series of steep hills, the last one being the worst but this is what gives it its great views and prominent position. There is a free shuttle bus to the front and back at various times of the day and taxi's are very easy to get and very cheap. There are a few good bars and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk without needing to be in the centre of Los Cristianos but that is also easy enough to get to. All in all a great holiday and we're likely to return!

Stayed here last week, loved the hotel. Location was perfect for us, not in the hustle and bustle of the beach fronts but plenty of decent bars and places to eat within a 10 mins walk. Taxi to the front was inexpensive so wasn't an issue being a bit further away from the sea. I wouldn't say it was a 4 star hotel based on finishing touches like bathroom sealant and wobbly toilet seat but I would definitely happily stay there again. Staff were friendly and helpful and pools were clean and also cleaned regularly.
My only bad point would be the hotel bar food. It was overpriced and I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Burger fell apart and tasted of nothing, chips were barely edible and the onion rings, well I have no idea you could even make them that badly 🤣
But overall happy with my stay, would recommend and would stay again, just wouldn't eat there 👍

Lovely place - we stayed in one of the corner apartments with a view of the sea. The staff in reception were great, very courteous, as was the receptionist at the gym. Pool was nice but during the day it gets busy with children, couples and families. The animation staff were great to entertain people by the pool with various competitions including bingo. Housekeeping staff came to the apartments every three days. Our apartment was well kitted out with a full sized fridge freezer, cooker and oven. A cupboard just off the kitchen had an ironing board and iron. The coffee maker was easy enough to use. I loved having my cuppa on the balcony. Having two bathrooms (one ensuite) was an unexpected bonus. The area was a bit hilly so the shuttle bus service was very welcome for the return journey in the evening. I would love to come back.

This is a good hotel but needs a few simple inprovements to be great. Air con needs looking at doesnt work asked for it to be looked at was told it was sorted but no improvement.
Also the orher improvement after speaking to other familys people we not happy with the food selection for children! Ypu need to privide actual meals not just sweets. You privide chips but ideally you need kore such as pizza and nuggets plus pasta that is actually cooked. Childrwn dont like cruncy pasta

I have stayed at Hollywood Mirage twice now—once two years ago and again during my recent trip. Unfortunately, I found that the standards have noticeably declined, and I do not intend to return for a third stay. The hotel has become too expensive for what it currently offers.
The most disappointing aspect was the cleaning service. Upon arrival, it was evident that my bathroom had not been properly cleaned. During my stay, I had to request room cleaning twice in the evening on a day it was scheduled. Even then, the “cleaning” amounted to little more than a towel change, with the bins left unemptied and the floor unswept. This is far below the standard I had previously experienced.
Another major drawback was the lack of consistent hot water. The system appears to rely on water tanks that take considerable time to refill, meaning that most showers were lukewarm at best. While this may not bother everyone, it is far from ideal for guests expecting a comfortable stay.
On a positive note, I would like to thank the gentleman at reception on Sunday, 28/09, who kindly arranged an early check-in for me upon arrival. As I was travelling solo, his attentiveness and focus on my safety and comfort were very much appreciated. The reception staff overall were welcoming and professional, which makes it all the more disappointing that the poor cleaning standards and unreliable hot water overshadowed my stay.
