Good hotel We had a really lovely stay at the Diogenis Blue Palace 💙 The hotel is clean, comfortable and well located. The manager, Ilyas, is extremely friendly, kind and always helpful — he makes everyone feel welcome. Also Iwan from the staff is very polite and professional. Thank you for the great service and warm atmosphere! 🌞🇬🇷
⭐ My Review of Diogenis Blue Palace ⭐
I honestly don’t understand why some people leave bad reviews about this hotel. We’ve been here several times already — and we keep coming back, just like many other guests who return year after year.
If you have any problem, you just go to the reception — and it’s solved immediately. Everyone is kind, friendly, and always ready to help.
If you want a special table or meal, just ask — they’ll arrange it for you with a smile. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the whole team makes you feel welcome.
So honestly, I can’t agree with those negative opinions. Diogenis Blue Palace is a wonderful place to stay, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again! 🌴☀️💫

I do not recommend visiting this hotel or choosing it as your holiday destination. The hotel deserves maybe 2 stars, but definitely not more.
The so-called “all inclusive” drinks menu is almost empty — there are basically no real drinks included. All the usual cocktails had to be paid for separately. The bartender had no idea how to mix drinks properly — he just poured alcohol without any control, and we constantly had to watch to make sure he didn’t fill half the glass with pure alcohol.
When we ordered à la carte dinner, it turned into a complete disaster. The reception told us to “go talk to the chef.” We went to speak with the chef , and he said, “Write me a good review, and I’ll organize some shrimp and maybe some fish for you.” No one mentioned any payment, so we agreed.
That evening, when we were eating, the chef came over and started insisting that we all give the hotel a 5-star review and mention his name specifically, otherwise we’d have to pay 20 euros for the meal. He even told us that if anyone asked, we should lie and say we had paid. He made everyone at the table — all six of us — write fake positive reviews. It was absurd and honestly shocking.
The hotel itself feels more like a cheap retirement home than a resort.
There are only two toilets in the entire hotel and beach area, and they are constantly wet, dirty, and usually out of toilet paper.
The food selection is very poor — the only fruit served every day were watermelon, unwashed grapes, and melon.
There was also no drinking water available in the fridge — whoever managed to grab a bottle in the morning was lucky, and everyone else had to go without.
The room was tiny. The shower was so small that even a child would struggle to move around. The sink was clogged, and the shower leaked all over the floor. Even after we complained several times over six days, nothing was fixed.
The balcony was covered in pigeon droppings, and pigeons were constantly walking and cooing on the roof, making it impossible to sleep.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I strongly do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Choose a better place and read the reviews carefully before booking.
One of the few bright and positive aspects was the Bulgarian waiter Ivan, who was always kind, friendly, and helpful.
Andnif you read reviews with 5 stars and shefs name thats meen its all fake forced reviews unfortunately.

We stayed here with our friends, for a week in 2025, september. We rented 3 rooms.
Simplified:
Very friendly smallish hotel, with a staff that is doing everything to make your holiday even better!
Mire specified:
Our plane got to Crete late in the night, but the staff had prepared us a plate to eat when we arrived.
All the rooms were clean, every bathroom was recently renovated with marble like tiles, and modern faucets.
The bedrooms were more classic style, with older hardwood furniture. Every room was equipped with AC units.
We got one top floor sea-view apartment with two terraces. And one room facing inward to the swimming pool, and one facing the small alley/street next to the hotel.
The first floor room had a false cieling with many LED lights and had great lighting, but the two other two rooms (second and third floor) had beautiful wooden roof paneling, and because of this lacked modern lighting, so these rooms had bad lighting. These rooms could do with some stronger bulbs, or different light fixtures. And there were only a few power outlets in the rooms, enough, but still could do with a few more outlets to charge phones/laptops.
The pool area was always kept clean, and had floaties, balls and sunbeds available to use.
The restaurant always had something delicious to eat.
Some nights there were specialities like shrimp or lamb, being prepared right in front of you, outside on the big terrace. The salad varieties were always nice to try. During or after the dinner there were special performances like saxophone or live singer.
The all-inclusive bar served ouzo, raki, cognac, beer, white and red wine, with all kinds of soft drinks, coffee also. You can also get a slushy to cool down.
The staff was very friendly. Ivan with his sassy attitude, Illias with his humor, Marika with her friendliness. And everybody working in the hotel were always very generous and nice to us! Thank you all!
In the hotel lobby there is Croco's rental, where we rented the white Fiat Panda and the blue Toyota Yaris for two days, for 40euro/day/car, everything included.
The cars were in good condition, both with working ACs and bluetooth sound systems. They let us park in front of the hotel.
The hotels "private" beach had sunbeds available to use freely. But we figured the other "public" beach, around 100m walking was bigger and cleaner, so we ususally went there.
I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Guest Response to Iveta !!!!!
We were also guests at Diogenis Blue Palace during the same period, and honestly, we don’t understand this review at all. The hotel is lovely, the staff are always friendly, and every issue — if there is one — is solved immediately once you speak to the reception.
It’s hard to believe such negative words, especially when most of the people we met here were happy, relaxed, and even returning for their second or third time. That says a lot more than one angry comment on the internet.
If you have a problem, you simply go to the reception — they always help and fix things right away. Writing such an exaggerated and unfair review after leaving just doesn’t seem right.
We’re also guests, and we had a wonderful experience here — great food, kind people, and an amazing holiday atmosphere. Sometimes it’s not the hotel that’s the problem, but the attitude of the guest. 🌴✨

I'll start with by saying this hotel is definitely not 4 stars, more like 2.
The good: The hotel is right next to the seaside, and the beach is ok. Reception staff are helpful and with good attitude.
The bad: The rooms are quite dark (we were of the last floor), the AC is at the worst spot, it blows straight into your head... so you can't have it on while you are laying on the bed. There is a nasty sewage smell every night so you must not open the window, you must enjoy the hot room. The cleaning person changed our sheets only once for a weeks stay, but she did clean the room everyday. I had to get up early (7am), in the morning to go to the beach and put a towels on the sunbeds, otherwise we were left without any shade and space (the free beach zone is very small).
The worst: The food was for real the worst I have tried in my lifetime, everything was the same and not with enoght variety, you have to have a special skill to make every dish (and I'm not exaggerating) tastes the same. Head chef is rude and he needs to chill. The food zone is extremely bad, it needs renovation.
