It is around a 20 minute walk to the beach. The views are really good from the hotel. The rooms are fine, odd bit of maintenance needs doing, but nothing major. We had half board, the breakfast was decent and most nights we ate out. The first night we stayed for the evening meal, we was quite rudely told that we had to pay for the soft drinks, most other hotels, the soft drinks on the evening meal were paid for. We wanted a late check out, but the hotel couldn't accommodate, so we asked if we could freshen up later in the afternoon, before our flight, but again this was refused, as they dont have the facilities. I dont think I have ever not had this option before. Staff maybe could do with some kind of customer care course but overall it was ok. The weather was extremely good too

Disappointing to say the least. We booked this hotel with Jet2 after reading many positive google reviews, however these reviews are false. There is a 360 video experience in the lobby on a friday night, and after doing this they make you leave a 5 star review. This significantly bumps up the rating of the hotel, it does not reflect the actual quality. Rooms are okay, we booked for 3 people. Theyre decently clean rooms, but nothing like the pictures we looked at. Theres 2 rooms, one with 2 normal beds which is okay, and one with a pull out sofa bed. The sofa bed is what I slept on, and I dont think I got one good night of sleep. It was old and uncomfortable, even after asking for an extra mattress topper on it. Food was not great at all, they more or less had the same thing on rotation every day and it was always cold, and poor quality, especially the meat. We went out of the hotel most nights for food since the all inclusive buffet was just not enjoyable. By far the worst experience was the main bar by the pool. Most all inclusive bars remain open until midnight, but here after 11pm you’re made to pay for drinks. We didn’t have a problem with this, we still paid for drinks after 11pm. However, we were severely let down and made to feel unwelcome by management when sat at this bar. Two nights in a row around 11pm we had management come to us to say we were being too loud, and essentially said we had to go back to our rooms despite the bar being open until 12pm. They weren’t polite about it either, they were extremely rude when confronting us and one of the managers stormed off when we stated that we had the right to be at that bar if it didn’t close until 12pm. They are quite happy to take our money for drinks despite us being all inclusive, but are rude to us for supposedly being “too loud”, even though we were just having a conversation at a normal volume. If this is the case, then the bar shouldn’t be open until 12. This is by far the worst all inclusive holiday I’ve been on and I don’t recommend anyone to come here.

Hotel is in need of a revamp, looked a bit tired but spotless. Room had a patio door with a gap to the wall which we packed with toilet roll to stop the wind whisteling at night. Bathroom window lock broken sink unit de laminated , milk for tea in room only on 1st night after this had to buy from shop for your room but fridge in room is not a fridge only a cooler we were told at reception so milk went off a a day or so.Cutlery and plates in dining hall not washed properly. Did speak to restaurant manager about this . All inclusive drinks come in plastic glasses which require a €1 deposit where you get given a washer , unless you give the washer back you loose your euro .
Quite a long walk to Playa Blanca port but a Taxi is only €4 -€5 so not to bad.

Discard all the 5-star reviews mentioning 360 video as it's a marketing scam to increase 5-star reviews for the hotel!!! - You can do this 360 'experience' for free but you need to give them a 5-star review (and the lady watches as you post it!).
I didn't find this hotel to meet our 4-star expectations, and was the worst Labranda we've been to. Though the grounds are really nice, general maintenance throughout is needed (which you'd expect a 4-star to fix immediately such as door at the men's loos in the lobby couldn't be open/closed properly, broken parasols by the pool). Pools are nice but besides the kids pool they weren't heated.
Room - spacious and clean but some simple maintenance is necessary, e.g., our front door were very difficult to lock. Toiletries - only hand soap (also in the shower), no shower gel or shampoo.
Food - bit of a hit and miss, buffet is definitely on the smaller side but besides few lunches, we always found something nice to eat. Plus is that every day there is fresh fish or sea food. But some dishes were very bland, the biggest disappointment was their paella which you'd expect to be good given it's the national dish. Restaurant is nice with a pretty terrace but definitely needs a floor manager - food mislabelled all the time, if food dropped on the floor then it would be there the whole lunch/dinner. As we were there with a 7 month old baby, we asked for a soft boiled single veggie every night with no salt - on day 3 they just gave me the soup that was for everyone so after that we didn't bother and rather gave her some fruit.
Bar/drinks - drinks were definitely a plus of the hotel, we found them to be of good quality. San Miguel on tap, original Cola, Fanta etc. They also have whiskey cream and sparkling wine. But beer taps/drinks post mix not always working, you had to ask a few times before they fixed it. The lobby bar wasn't open for two days at all (with no sign or apology for this).
Staff - generally friendly and nice, but communication between them is really bad and some receptionists weren't very friendly.
Animation - the worst we've ever seen. There was nothing for 2 days at all, and the other days there's just one guy. The programme is very poor - honestly not even sure what was happening during the day, felt like not much, usually just some board/card game in the afternoon. Kid's disco in the evening was way too early and majority of kids were still having dinner. The evening programme was usually live music or 'disco' - quite bad every time (so we ended up sitting in the lobby bar when it was open).
Location - quite a distance from beaches and shops and the walk to get to the sea side isn't nice as it's by a busy road, but there is a shortcut through a gravel road. It's a good location to do the hike to Montana Roja.

We’ve just returned from a week all-inclusive stay at Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel, and overall we had a pleasant holiday, though there were definitely some areas that could be improved.
To start with the positives, the hotel grounds are lovely and very well maintained. The rooms and general hotel areas were clean, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bar and restaurant staff in particular were very quick, attentive, and genuinely good at what they do — service was always smooth and efficient. The location is also great — close to the mountains with beautiful views, not too far from the beach, although the nearest shops are a bit of a walk. The food was always warm and, although the buffet is on the smaller side, there was a nice enough selection. The themed food nights were a great touch too — we particularly enjoyed the Mexican night. The food at the pool bar was also really nice and very handy, perfect for keeping you going throughout the day.
There wasn’t much daytime entertainment for the first few days, and it might have been nice to have a bit more going on just to add some variation. The evenings always had something on, and towards the end of the week a young entertainment lad arrived who deserves a special mention — he was genuinely sweet and really tried his hardest to get the small crowd involved and enjoying themselves. Even though he was only there for a couple of days, his effort and enthusiasm really lifted the atmosphere.
The maids were lovely — always smiling, always happy to help, and our room was left tidy and refreshed every single day. The only issue we had was one occasion where a maid walked in while we were asleep, which was a little intrusive, but otherwise they were fantastic.
However, there were quite a few maintenance issues in our suite. The windows and balcony door didn’t lock, which didn’t leave us feeling completely comfortable. There was a hole in the sofa, paint on the curtains, peeling paint elsewhere, and the shower door didn’t close properly. At times the bathroom smelled unpleasant, and a hole in the silicone in the shower meant water leaked onto the floor. It would be nice to see the rooms given a bit of a revamp, just to freshen them up and neaten everything overall.
The pool area is nice, but the big pool was absolutely freezing — definitely not heated, which was a shame.
Food-wise, while what was offered was good, it was very similar every day, so a bit more variation would be appreciated.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the lovely staff, tidy grounds, clean rooms, helpful maids, great bar and restaurant service, tasty pool bar food, the themed food nights, and the hard work of the entertainment lad at the end of the week. With a bit more attention to detail, some room updates, and more daytime activities, this hotel could be excellent
