I stayed here for a week from the 29th January 2026. My room was a bit tir d but clean. I had a sea view. Unfortunately the weather was terrible. But that's not the hotels fault lol. The food was lovely and a good selection. Unfortunately I fractured my ankle on second night. The hotel staff were great. They went out of their way to assist me. They even loaned me a wheelchair to get me around. This hotel has lots of stairs so isn't suitable for disabled people. However there are service lifts which the hotel staff happily transferred me from one floor to another so that I still had full access. The rep was very helpful too. I enjoyed the evening entertainment. There was a free shuttle into town several times a day. For the price this is a decent holiday.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great Hotel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Easiest way to sum this place up..... It is like staying at your most favorite and loved grand parents house for a long weekend!! (In a good way 🤣)
The decor is quite dated, it has a slow moving atmosphere and the majority of people there are over 60! But that said, you are guaranteed to be well looked after, served decent hot, good quality food every day and feel safe, secure and comfortable in a clean environment 😁🤦♂️.
**Keep in mind the hotel does require a €100 CARD deposit upon arrival. At departure they assure that it will be credited back to the account within a few days (so keep an eye out to make sure you get that returned).**
I am in my 40's and have just stayed here on my own for 4 days. The location is great with good access to the beach, and you can walk to the Old Town along the beech within 20 - 30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus that is free, which takes about 10 minutes. If you are younger and more energetic, you are only a short (10 minute walk) up to the 'Strip' where all the night clubs, pubs and bars are situated, which is thriving and worth a visit.
Slightly further out, about 40mins gentle walk you can visit the vibrant marina with bars, restaurants, colourful buildings and activities.
👀 Ignore the 1 star reviews on here given by those who have mobility issues and through their own stupidity failed to research the hotel prior to booking! There are a huge amount of stairs as the hotel is placed across several levels, Which adds to the charm of the place.
The positioning and layout of the hotel in no way deserves a low star review due to some numpty not researching their accomodation! Although the staff I noticed, will try to accomodate and help everyone get around the place.
The staff are absolutley fantastic!! Really great, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is really clean and presentable (although beige and dated), the food is good, the drinks are strong 😁.
The outdoor pools are cold (but it is March when I visited so that is to be expected). But food and drinks are served at the pool bar / restaurant throughout the day. The pool areas again were really clean and presentable.
The indoor pool is smaller and more private, but is warm (29°) and clean.
The entertainment was ok, but I didnt experience much of it as I was out most of the time. There were plenty of day and night activities schedule and advertised on the events boards throughout the hotel. You can book excursions via the hotel such as tours, boat rides etc. I recommend the Tuk-Tuk tour and the caves and dolphin watching tours.
All in all, for what I paid (€300) for 4 days, all inclusive at a beech front hotel, with a sea view, free transport, incredible staff, food and drink included, super clean and comfortable accomodation........ this hotel certainly is a hidden gem!!
If you are expecting white marble, glass balcony, infinity pool, michelin star style hotel, this one is not for you...... but if you are looking for a good, honest, clean and friendly hotel, what ya waiting for? Get it booked!! ✈️👍

This is a 3-star hotel, but it was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are small but quite sufficient for two people. I really liked that all rooms have a balcony. Very good location, you can walk straight from the hotel to the beach and enjoy incredible views of the ocean and the coast. The service was pleasant and polite. The staff was always ready to help, and there were no problems. We only had breakfast at the hotel. The menu didn't change, but everything was always fresh. There was fresh fruit, vegetables, sweet pastries, and sandwiches. Sausages, ham, cheese, etc. Quite a good selection. We were satisfied with our stay.

We have traveled to many all-inclusive hotels in Turkey, Bulgaria, and Egypt, and Auramar was by far the best experience we’ve ever had.
From the very first moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. Ion from the front desk made us feel at home instantly, with such warmth and kindness that it truly set the tone for our entire stay.
When we stepped outside, we completely fell in love with the location. It felt like heaven on earth: the rocks, the ocean view, the Love Tree, the garden, and the pool all felt like something out of a fantasy world.
Our premium room was another highlight. We loved drinking coffee on our balcony, the daily cleaning, and all the thoughtful amenities that made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.
The food was our absolute favorite out of all the hotels we’ve visited. There was so much variety, the ingredients were very high quality, the desserts were amazing, and the staff was always smiling and attentive.
Even though the hotel is about a 30-minute walk from Albufeira city center, we really appreciated the free private shuttle bus, which takes you anywhere you need in just 5 minutes.
We visited Auramar just before the birth of our baby girl, so it felt like our last holiday as a couple. We truly enjoyed the honeymoon package with champagne, chocolates, flower petals, and especially the peaceful, quiet atmosphere of the hotel—something we deeply appreciated before becoming parents.
There were also plenty of activities during both the day and night, from sangria workshops to karaoke. The bar drinks were high quality and very diverse, with great options for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinkers (which I really appreciated).
We truly hope to come back one day with our baby girl. We highly recommend Auramar to anyone looking for a dream holiday filled with beauty, care, and unforgettable memories.

All of the amenities were clean and staff was extremely respectful. Food was amazing and the activities offered by the entertainment team were an amazing way to spend the time as they make it entertaining for all ages. Will definitely come back again when the weather is nicer.
