Insanely (but bad) experience! At my arrive I’ve been put in a room without wi-fi, the view from the balcony was on top of some broken houses, the area isn’t the best, the cleanliness?! Probably they don’t know what “clean” means , some of the towels were with some black marks on it, the bathroom was felling apart , but nothing compare with what I had to pass trough the night, the mattress was full of some insects which bites me during the all night, is insane someone have to pass trough this things! I have more than 30 bites all over my body, is unacceptable ! The lady at the reception at least change my room, but apart from that nothing, I had to go by myself and buy the cream for the bites . I hope they’ll do something for it, otherwise I think they should close!

If you want to have a nice holiday and get some sleep, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It was horrible. The doors were paper-thin, and everything from outside was extremely loud. The balcony door didn’t even close properly, so it let in all the mosquitoes. The mattresses were so uncomfortable that every night we woke up with back pain—not to mention the springs that pierced through. We were surprised we didn’t see any cockroaches. The bathroom was so old and dirty that for four nights we couldn’t even take showers. To conclude: we heard everything from outside and from the lobby, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and overall it felt more like a Soviet-style hostel. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. P.S. We were so tired and desperate to get out that we forgot to take any pictures.

The bedroom cleaning is absolutely disgusting in all senses. We’ve complaint multiple times and they simply don’t know how a clean room should look like. Besides, everything is falling apart in the hotel, the staff doesn’t know how to handle with complains. This hotel impacted negatively my experience in Malta and almost ruined everything. Don’t stay here!!

Disapointed by several broken or disfunctional things in the room but staff made it all good!! Very helpfull and friendly, made it all good!!! Too bad the breakfast os not a buffet…

Never book this hotel unless you can go for 24hrs or more without sleep. Place is falling apart but if you are an insect enthusiast is a place for you! Personally will never even go near the place let alone stay even for an hour. Warning for those who seek a decent stay in Malta.

Lovely hotel with roof top pool and restaurant. Another pool can be found downstairs, for familes. Main restaurant is nearby pool which offers a good variety of food and drinks which were all very good. However plates for food where always cold, meaning our food went cold very quick.The staff service was exceptional, we honestly could not find fault with any of the staff, they were so friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and had a small kirptchsn facility with fridge, sink, microwave etc. The room also had a small balcony but alas the view was extremely poor looking into another balcony. The hotel is situated near a nice beach and has other restaurants, ice cream palour etc near by. Overall we where very happy and enjoyed the hotel.

Lovely hotel, everything was very clean. We had one of the penthouse rooms and it was well worth the extra for the large balcony. The location was great, just round the corner from some resturants and easy to walk to the beach. We had a late flight on the last day, but were able to keep our luggage in the store and have a shower before our transfer to the airport. We loved the adult pool it was very chilled, we had no issues getting a sunbed at any time of day. We will absolutely be returning to this hotel and area again and feel in love with Malta!

I visited May 2024. It’s a pretty decent hotel to be fair and the receptionists are all really nice. The room I had (maybe. All) are kinda like studio apartments with aircon and cooking facilities. The room or suite I had was pretty big size even with a couch. The only snag was finding the market open, whenever I went to look it was always shuttered. I was only there for 4 days so didn’t see the necessity to have it cleaned everyday so just left the little sign over the door handle. Check in was easy, they block 50 euros off your card until checkout which I got back within 5 days of leaving, and the local tax which I don’t think was much. All in all a good hotel, minutes from Ghadira beach with a nice selection of restaurants near by

An absolutely wonderful hotel. Great location. Luna have all areas covered in regards to travel & excursions information. Lovely helpful & polite staff. Rooms are lovely, clean & spacious.excellent view of the beautiful church on the hill. Housekeeping is brilliant & any request we had was met with helpfulness & and efficiently. The hotel is very clearly run with passion & great customer service. We will be visiting again & most definitely going back to Luna complex.

We had a great stay here. Staff are helpful and very friendly. Roof top pool is brilliant with top service at the bar!Stayed for a week in a self catering apartment. It wasn't realistically possible to cater at any level. A 2 ring gas hob was ok, but preparation was inappropriate. Had, therefore, little opportunity to self catering! Also paid €50 deposit on the room which is yet to be refunded! Otherwise, a lovely holiday!

Wonderful accommodation and lovely pool. Basic, but had everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s our second visit and our whole family love it hear. Kids (9 and 12) kept entertained by swimming and the local kittens!

We all really loved Villagg-tal-Fanal. Spacious, well equipped and set out in a lovely picturesque way around a large central swimming pool, we and our 4 children had a really lovely week here. We did not bother the staff much but, when we did, found them charming and helpful. There is an very convenient underground carpark (you do need a car here really) and the place is within an easy 5-10min drive of multiple beaches, swimming holes, harbours, great restaurants and shops. They provide a very helpful online guide book which has lots of things to do and I honestly wish we had come for 2 weeks. We definitely plan to return. Highly recommended.

Very nice place to relax! It is located at the edge of a settlement and is very quiet and peaceful. Like the island of Gozo itself. Nearby in the morning the roosters crow, and a donkey joins them. The pool is very clean and there are a lot of flowers around it. We were in an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it was comfortable. Overall the furniture is a bit worn, but it is clean. There are no restaurants around, but the kitchen has the necessary equipment and utensils. You just need to bring your own cooking products. Since Malta has English electrical outlets, we expected there would be adapters, but there weren't any. There is underground parking, which is very convenient.

Second time here, love the location and the way it is built around the pool! Close to Victoria, Ramla Bay and the north side of the island. Has parking underground. Staff is super friendly and hard working to make sure everything works well for the guests.

Accommodation in an excellent location, Room was clean however very very noisy with a large group of Spanish youth filling up both the apartments and hotel next door. Was up every hour with the group making loud noise at all hours of the night. The fire alarm was then activated at 4am which was the end. We left at 10am and checked into alternative accommodation as wanted to be able to sleep for the rest of our holiday. Staff were excellent and refunded the rest of the stay which we were very thankful. For £30 a night would of been excellent had the noise been less in the accommodation.

I really don't understand the bad comments... I booked an apartment, and despite some little problems, I'm overly satisfied. I had a whole apartment for 35€ per day, at the end of May, and in addition the acces to the swimming pool. Here's my problems: -the regulator of the shower tap didn't work when I arrived: the following morning it was fixed - the sheets are not always of the highest quality, so I asked to change them, what they did instantly No idea about the other problems reported by others: - no insects at all - no unkindness from the staff ... that was actually very friendly and helpful - the only problem was a group of English guys who made loud noise in the swimming pool one day and nobody told them anything. That's the reason I didn't put 5 stars, otherwise we'll deserved considering the price; You have music every night, bar and the position is excellent, close both to the seafront and to the bus terminal station. I would definitely come back 👍

Allround Experience was perfect , except for the housekeeping service, didn’t do their job properly. The rest of the Service was 200/100 . Many thanks to Moiza from the reception, she is an Angel . Kelly , Nathalie, Jackson, Rita and the rest of the team for the excellent service in the dining hall. The cook was exceptional made my mum’s day when he prepared extra chilly for her meals and took care that we had enough to choose from when the buffet had a variety of Pork served . The locals made us feel more at home than on holiday 😍😍😍

Really excellent budget apart hotel room, very basic but absolutely fine, very clean and even though was an apartment had maid service every day, clean towels, etc. Excellent location, less than five mins walk to the main bus station in Buggiba and the seafront in the other direction. There's a shared outdoor and indoor pool, games room and bar as the hotel shares facilities with the adjoining one. Really surprised by how good it was for the cost, would absolutely stay here again. Didn't take any pics this time, apart from one from the window, sorry! If I could change anything, it would be to have the TV in the bedroom and more electric sockets but these were just minor niggles.

Good lord this was awful, rooms were dirty, the sheets with the stains are newly changed, the sink was leaking water everywhere, ac does not work, 27 degrees in the room, you can hear other peoples beathing thru the door. And many more bad things. AVOID.

Terrible Experience – I Would Never Stay Here Again My stay at this hotel was absolutely terrible. The service was extremely poor, and the staff were not only unhelpful but also rude and sarcastic. They behaved as if they were doing us a favor just by responding to simple requests. Even worse, they promised one thing and delivered something completely different. Nothing matched what was advertised or what we were told during the booking process. The room was disappointing, and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this hotel. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place – it’s not worth your money or your time.

Resume : The worst “hotel” experience of my life. A three-hour wait at check-in for a room that reeked of death, with prehistoric beds, filthy bathrooms, mold, cobwebs, and dirty sheets. The second room? Bedbug stains, blood on the mattress, and spiders on the walls. This is not a hotel – it’s a health hazard. Stay away if you value your dignity. Complet : If you value your health, sanity, or even the faintest idea of hospitality – avoid this place like the plague. This was, without exaggeration, the worst experience of my entire life. I didn’t even last two hours. Check-in? A three-hour delay before being handed the keys to what I can only describe as a crime scene disguised as a room. The moment I opened the door – the stench of death. Damp everywhere. Two prehistoric beds that should be in a museum, not a hotel. Crumbling walls. Filthy toilets. A bathtub covered in mold. Cobwebs from ceiling to floor. And to crown it all: dirty sheets. We requested a room change. The manager treated us like nothing more than walking wallets, completely indifferent to the disaster his establishment is. After showing him the unsanitary horror, it took 30 minutes to receive a “new” room. And guess what? Bedbug stains. Blood on the mattress. Spiders crawling across the curtains and walls. We walked out and never looked back. This isn’t hospitality – it’s a health hazard masquerading as a hotel. Final verdict: Stay here only if you want to experience the closest thing to hell on earth.

Stayed here as a couple in our early 20s. The location is ideal, close to restaurants, pubs etc. In a very central location. Pool was great with plenty of sunbeds. Hotel itself is a little outdated but for the price you pay it’s expected. Rooms were clean and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Bathroom was plain but does the job. Staff very friendly. Recommend for those on a budget looking for a central location to stay in! :)

Visited on holiday with a group of friends, a really good hotel! Staff were very welcoming and helpful all across the hotel and check-in was a quick process. The rooms were clean and tidy, very spacious and comfortable. Only thing was that they could sometimes get very hot in the daytime, but this problem was solved by leaving the balcony doors open a crack. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good and plenty of choice. Location is absolutely a strong point for this hotel! It's perfectly situated to have easy walking access across St. Julians, to convenience stores, the beach, the nightlife in Paceville, and many restaurants. Close proximity to bus stops too, giving quick access to the whole island. Very good price, amazing value for money with such a good location, absolutely recommended!

The room was dirty overall. The shower head was fixed, so you could not move it. To shower you had to be right under the shower head, which means glued to the wall, to have water going down your skin. Plus, the water had no pressure at all. You had to pump to flush the toilet. The bedsheets contained holes and the balcony had McDonald's paper bags in. When someone did the cleaning in our room, they put my sister's pajamas, which were under her pillow, on the floor (which was dirty btw). This is inacceptable!! So yes, the hotel's prices are cheap and it is well situated. But the rooms are not that good to be honest. Also, mostly young adults come in and scream during the evening (because the hotel is situated in the middle of bars).
